Event conceptThe Burning Bike – ConceptThere are a lot of people around who love riding their mountain bike, but not everyone likes to ride in 100k enduro events, nor do they necessarily want to ride in a 24 hour event. Those events are seriously fun – the enduro cross country is the 21st century adventure challenge, combining nature and exercise, and the 24 hour events give us camping, the excitement of night riding, and heaps of people all sharing the mountain bike vibe. The Burning Bike brings together the best of these things into one weekend. The event is split over three stages – each of which is manageable for anyone who has a mountain bike and a willingness to give it a go, but it will also challenge people who want to put everything into it. The Burning Bike is a participation event, aimed unashamedly at intermediate and novice riders. If you are a hard core rider, this may not be the event for you. BUT, if you wanted to introduce a friend to the sport you love, then this is exactly the event for you, and them. Stage 1 – Saturday 2.30pm Stage 2 – Saturday 6.30pm |

This stage starts and ends at the Tarnagulla showground and pavilion, at the finish there will be a couple of large bonfires to warm yourself by, there’ll be plenty of food available for purchase, as well as some live music to get the feet tapping. The two bands performing live on Saturday night are: Collard, Greens & Gravy - an ARIA award winning blues band, and Harddrive - National and Victorian Country music award winning bluegrass band. In addition, there will be hot showers and plenty of toilets. The perfect setting to relax, relive the days riding, meet some new people, and tell some stories. Bring a camp chair, relax and enjoy - the next event is not until after breakfast tomorrow morning at 9.30. Stage 3 – Sunday 9.30am
